All Ado about the Weekend

The festive season is upon us. Glory to God as we would soon see the end of 2016 and move on to a new 2017. Although, looking at the various events during the year, I must say it has been full of challenges but I am also grateful for a lot of things too. Now, that it is December, a lot of events and sales are happening to mark the end of the year. I have decided to join the merry band and celebrate Xmas.

After Seriki Abass Museum, we headed to a place called 'The Point of no return'. This is route in which the slaves were transported through to the Atlantic Ocean where the ship awaits them. They were taken across a lake and made to walk several miles to a well which is acclaimed to have memory loss functions once the water inside it was drank. The water in the well was given to the slaves to make them forget their homes and the people they left behind. Also, they were to forget the route they took in getting to the ship to forestall any kind of escape.

Yo! Yo!! Yo!!!

This is a late post considering that I had a very tight schedule this week concerning work... However, I am glad that it is the weekend. How is your weekend going fam? How body? My excitement level usually shoots above the roof on friday only to come to its lowest ebb on sunday night...its like I have been living on a kind of euphoria that I can't explain. 

What would you get up to this weekend? Hope it is going to be fun for you. Last weekend, I went to Badagry with the girls courtesy Naijatreks. I first heard of Naijatreks from Berry Dakara on her trip to Ibadan. One of my new year resolutions was visiting more of our Nigerian / African tourist attractions (see my visit to Olumo Rock). I was able to convince the girls to come with me on this trip.

I recently did a road trip with my friend Tayo and some friends to Abeokuta.

It was quite an enjoyable trip if you back out the horrendous traffic encountered *side eye*.
