Drey takes on Badagry Part 2 - Stint with Naijatreks

This is a continuation of my previous post .

After Seriki Abass Museum, we headed to a place called 'The Point of no return'. This is route in which the slaves were transported through to the Atlantic Ocean where the ship awaits them. They were taken across a lake and made to walk several miles to a well which is acclaimed to have memory loss functions once the water inside it was drank. The water in the well was given to the slaves to make them forget their homes and the people they left behind. Also, they were to forget the route they took in getting to the ship to forestall any kind of escape.

Saw some of the cutest and fresh looking cows I have ever seen

The spirit well

After the trek to the well, everyone was famished and hungry which was understandable. To help us relax and rest, we took another ride to a deserted beach where we ate and played some games before heading back to the bus for the journey back to Lagos.

Let the fun begin...hehehehehe

Beach time.....Fun Time.................

Beautiful Sunset.....It is time to go home

In all, it was a really good experience. I was able to learn some things about our forefathers and the slavery that once was a paramount way of life. While I am sad it happened, I am also glad and grateful that it has been abolished.

It is a trip that you should also go for......See you on my other adventures to the places of Nigeria.

Love & Light

Drey
