Foraging Into the Unknown

Hey guys, today I would share with you my thoughts on the daily devotional I read by Bob and Derby Gass.

The opening verse was 1 Kings 17:14 talking about the story of when Isreal was in famine and the Lord sent prophet Elijah to the widow Zerephath who would feed him. The widow has only one a handful of flour for her and her to eat and wait for death.

My questions are why did the widow still feed him despite knowing that she doesn't have enough to feed her family? She was able to let go of her fear of the unknown and have faith that God would be able to care of her accordingly to the prophet words.

This brings me back to the present. Why do we fear? Why do we think of the risk first and are so scared to take the leap into the unknown? Why don't we let go of the present and move into the future? The truth is that so many of us are in the comfort zone and do not want to forage into the unknown for fear has gripped our hearts.

Take that step today!!!! Venture into that business!!!! Start that hobby of yours!! Go for that job!!! Fuel that interest and trust God.

F-E-A-R has two meanings:
   Forget Everything and run
   Face Everything and Rise

This choice is yours......
